I’ve probably said this before, but the fall season is by far my most favorite season of the year. And what better place to visit in the fall than New England? And no, that’s not a state!
I’ll never forget the time I moved to California and a colleague of mine asked what the state of New England was like. And I was like, what?!? There are six states in New England! So for this week’s Report, I’m giving you the inside track on one of my favorite states; Massachusetts. Let me tell you why…
One main reason I love the state is the fabulous capitol; Boston. Duh. I only talk about this city every other blog. Ha!
There are many fabulous places to stay at in Boston such as The Liberty Hotel, a chic, hip boutique hotel, The Mandarin Oriental, which is a sophisticated, luxury hotel and then there’s The Westin Hotel in Back Bay’s Copley Place for the business traveler. All three are exceptional, but let me suggest the top thing to do in each:
- At the Liberty Hotel enjoy a drink at Clink and hob nob the night away at Alibi.
- At the Mandarin Oriental, without a doubt, enjoy a little slice of heaven in The Spa. And might I add, indulge in the massage treatment called Oriental Harmony. You’ll find out why it’s called Harmony. :)
- The Westin Copley Place is a terrific place to have a sales meeting, conference or business outing. The hotel is nicely situated in the Back Bay to enjoy a business lunch or dinner at one of the many top Boston restaurants. One place that I recently dined in Kenmore Square, which is close to the Back Bay, is called Island Creek Oyster Bar where I ate the freshest puffers! I also know of a great venue for a private business dinner in Beacon Hill. Just Ask!
