Healdsburg - Food - Part 2

In Part 1 of this Healdsburg blog series, I told you about a great home store. On my last trip to Healdsburg, California I was also introduced to too many gooood restaurants near the town’s square! Ha! So for Part 2, let’s talk food!

These are the places that you must check out:

Valette

This is a swanky, low-lit restaurant with a great bar to sit at and eat. We chose a table to dine at and evidently, the pork chop was the hot item. I wasn’t particularly hungry so I opted for the ahi poke appetizer and it was a huge portion! The leftovers the next day were delish. The food was fantastic with a wonderful wine list to boot!

Montage Resort

Now, THIS is a place to have lunch at! When it’s beautiful outside, you can sit in the Hazil Hill restaurant’s al fresco setting overlooking the Sonoma Wine Country. We all ordered the farm-fresh salad with paillard chicken and it hit the spot. So did my glass of Rosé champagne! Ha!

I didn’t check out the rooms as they were setting up for some grandiose wedding, but I’ll be back to try it out. The wedding ceremony setting looked amazing and the cocktail and dinner reception areas were outstanding, as well. Can someone please invite me here as your guest to a wedding? Or, better yet, have me help you plan an event there! Just Ask!

Spoonbar

This place screams fun! The quaint bar setting is ideal if you get to the restaurant a few minutes early. Try their specialty cocktails. I ordered the Sleeping Beauty with Pamplemousse liqueur - yum!  I ordered a burger and fries and it was fantastic!

Stylish tip: always make reservations. Walk-ins are seldom and might mean a very long wait at popular spots.

Next on my list…The Matheson.

Cheers!
