Robin Laub, a Life Stylist

What’s in Robin’s Fridge?

It was one Easter weekend and I didn’t feel like going grocery shopping with the hoards of people finding that perfect ham. So, I decided to see what was in my fridge for a quick meal. Luckily, I was able to put together a delicious and easy recipe.

Here’s a recipe for an easy pasta sauce!

Ingredients

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

6 cloves of diced garlic

1 lb. ground beef

1 container of medium/spicy red salsa

2 cans of diced tomatoes

1 bottle of Contadina pizza sauce (I know, right?)

1 container/jar of pitted kalamata olives

2 Tbsp of capers (given to me on the fly from one of my besties!)

Salt and pepper to taste

Easy Peasy Directions

Sauté the garlic in EVOO (olive oil!) on medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes. Break up the ground beef and sauté with the garlic. Lower the heat to medium and add the salsa, diced tomatoes, and pizza sauce. Stir slowly. Let simmer for 15 minutes and then add the olives and the capers. Salt and pepper to your liking and serve with angel hair pasta and a green salad.
