Recently on an urban hike in San Francisco, I stopped into a highly recommended deli in North Beach.
If you like sandwiches (and who doesn’t?), you have to try Freddie’s Sandwiches. It’s a small hole in the wall place. You’ll know right away where it is on the corner of Stockton and Francisco because of the socially distanced customers lined up outside.
Order ahead and get the BLT sandwich on light sourdough. The medium and hard sourdough are super hard to bite into unless you like that kind of bread. ha! The sandwich is a great price point, too! Go early because the good sourdough runs out fast.
As your adventure stylist, I have a fun idea: Take your sandwich (don’t forget a bag of chips!), walk toward Crissy Field for a great picnic spot, and stop on the way at The Dorian for cocktails-to-go!
