A well-stocked fridge is one of life’s simple pleasures. However, it’s not always the norm. So, for those days when you just don’t have time to run to the store, here are my top five ingredients to always have in your fridge…
Chilled Veuve
I love popping a bottle when a close friend just happens to stop by to say hello. I have several in my outside fridge, too!
2. Tamari Sauce
It’s the best sauce for marinades! I add it to meats, veggies and always squirt some on my spicy tuna sushi roll!
3. English Muffins
I love a toasted English muffin with all its’ nooks and crannies, especially spread with some French butter that melts perfectly on top. These muffins are also a great snack for when you’d like to make mini pizzas. Need a recipe? Just ask me!
4. Leftovers
I tend to make extra when preparing a dinner so that in the morning I can sauté some leftovers and make an egg scramble. Leftovers are great for lunches, too! Send some off with your kids, your significant other, your girl friends, or whomever! Read about how I use leftovers in this past Report.
5. Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese
This is great to grate on soups, salads, pasta, and veggies. It’s the perfect complement to just about everything!
So, what are your favorite five?
