Kindergarten graduation, 5th grade promotion (that’s what they called it!), 8th grade graduation, high school graduation, college and post-college graduation. All great times to stand up and celebrate the completion of an educational milestone. A time to spread those wings. A time to make a change. It's also a time to plan a party to acknowledge these wonderful accomplishments. In Part III of my Many Sides of Robin series, I introduce to you, the Event Planner.
I love a good party. Ask anyone who attended my "milestone" birthday. A good party has many facets to it. First, you need the vision of how you'd like to see the end result. Then, you start organizing all the many pieces of the party puzzle. From finding the venue, to taste-testing with a caterer, to hiring a party rental company, to hand-delivering the invitations and much, much more! Through my event coordination and event planning services, I can help you with each specific detail or simply a portion of the party. You just ask and I'll deliver!
One of my favorite party elements is the fashion. In the ensemble shown in the photo, I'm wearing a silver, glittery, one shoulder, mini dress with sky high heels. I call it my "glamour girl" look. This dress is great to wear to a glitzy birthday party or even to a dance club like Club R! It’s a bit too flashy for a graduation lunch or dinner, but perfect for whooping it up afterwards at a fun and fashionable bash. I found this dress in L.A. in West Hollywood on Melrose Avenue at a favorite hipspot of mine called, Kitson. The store has many locations including the original one on Robertson Boulevard in Beverly Hills. This dynamic dress is very comfortable because it's made with lycra, the stretchy material for movin' and groovin'! In a fashion forward dress like this, I suggest going out dancing at some of the upscale dance clubs in L.A. such as Greystone Manor or 1OAK. And if you'd like to spend the weekend in L.A. why not try the glamorous Mondrian? Or the luxurious SLS hotel? This style dress has flair and is certainly spectacular and perfect at any of those venues!
So with graduations just right around the corner, start planning a lunch, dinner or dance party. I can help you find the perfect outfit and I have great ideas for graduation keepsakes, too! Just Ask!
Special note: I’d like to send a special tribute and celebratory congratulations to all who continue to support Boston Strong! The spiritual prayer posters of love and encouragement, which were nicely laid out on the lawn of the Boston Common, were truly emotional and beautiful. The communal atmosphere evidenced in Boston during this past weekend of the Boston marathon (the oldest marathon in the world!) was extraordinary. Bravo to all those who participated in the 26.2 mile run.
Boston Strong!
