As your adventure stylist, trust me when I say it’s important to be versatile when it comes to packing for Indian summer weekend trips. First, figure out what your itinerary will be so that you’ll have the appropriate clothes to do everything you’d like to do. Packing thoughtfully will provide you with less stress and a fun experience. Need help, Just Ask me!
Going swimming or hot tubbing?
Pack a bathing suit that will work with anything athletic, something comfortable to lounge around in and more importantly, one that is fun and fashionable like an adjustable string bikini or a one piece. I love Onia Megan's. Don’t forget to pack a sassy cover-up, a fedora, a jumpsuit, flat stylish sandals, a white t-shirt, jeans and a small handbag for dinners. Wear a simple pair of gold hoops and you’re good to go!
Hiking in the mountains?
Bring clothes that are breathable, water-resistant and comfortable. If you’re trying new things like kayaking, you need to be prepared for whatever the elements might bring. Show everyone how adventurous you can be! Pack sneakers, hiking boots, a wide-brimmed hat, SPF, a backpack, and a sun dress for sunset cocktails and dinner. Slip in a pair of comfy Toms to pair with your light dress. And don’t forget bug spray!
Heading to the city?
The city brings such wonderful walking opportunities, so pack super comfortable shoes! Sport some cool sunglasses and bring a raincoat because Indian summer rain showers can be common and beautiful to walk in. For those cool evenings, pack a draped long sweater to throw over your outfit. Use your iPhone camera or pack a nice camera to take shots of city views.
Pack lightly and enjoy life!
