10 Activities To Do on the 4th of July

Happy 4th of July! I hope you’ll be celebrating our country’s Independence Day in style. If you don’t already have plans, here are my top 10 fun and fashionable activities to do this holiday weekend:

  1. Take a family photo! You can easily color coordinate outfits by wearing white on top and denim on the bottom. Use this photo for your 2014 holiday card. Always a nifty idea for creating lasting memories.
  2. Create and wear personalized t-shirts for your family get-together. I used the website Zazzle to create ours. You can also create life-size stand-up photos of the matriarch and patriarch of the party. Need help creating something fun and customized to your family? Just Ask!
  3. Organize tournaments such as tennis, bocce or croquet either on the lawn or on clay. For extra fun, have an award ceremony at the end of your get-together with trophies for the winners.
  4. Lip-synch or karaoke with your friends and family to a popular tune. I’m going to try lip-synching, “Fancy” by Iggy Azalea. Stay tuned and watch on YouTube. Ha!
  5. It’s a great time to try a new recipe. Barbeque! Picnic! Pig out! Now, that’s a no-brainer. ;)
  6. Hang out at the beach, pool or lake. Need unique game ideas for the water? Just Ask!
  7. Learn something new. Paddle boarding is on my to-do list this summer. Splash!
  8. Attend a baseball game and cheer on your team. “Take me out to the ball game…”
  9. Watch the fireworks. Don’t forget to bring bug spray! Slap!
  10. Save leftovers for the entire weekend so you don’t have to cook. Indulge!

Happy Family Fun!
