On a recent flight, I asked an attendant to provide me with some packing tips. Curiosity gets you everywhere! Here’s the juicy information I learned:
1. Don’t lock your suitcase
What I discovered was that if you lock your suitcase, those pesky little “bad guys” can easily rip open the zipper seam. How do you protect yourself? Well, for one, don’t use a zipper suitcase. There are options, which unfortunately, aren’t the most fun and fashionable because they look like plastic tool boxes. My packing advice? Don’t put valuables in your checked luggage!
2. Bring your own headphones
The headsets on the planes may look new in the cellophane bag, but they aren’t. Just remember to pack up your headphones when you reach the gate.
3. Remove old flight tags
To avoid losing your luggage, rip off any previous flight tags. The old ones could confuse the airline baggage personnel.
4. Cheapest time to fly?
In the U.S.A, Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday are the most economical days to fly.
5. Buy coffee in the airport
Don’t drink the coffee on the plane. Who knows the last time a coffee container was cleaned!
Have a great trip and let me know if you need any packing assistance by me, your adventure and wardrobe stylist.
