Clint’s Bungalow

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been to Carmel, California and have never stayed at Clint Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel. Well, this summer I finally booked a room.

The location is ideal for taking a nice walk to the beach and into town. The rooms…well…they’re a little bit tired BUT the restaurant and outdoor deck make up for the much needed renovations. Sorry, Clint!

If you like listening to sheep baaaaaa and looking out at the majestic Carmel River Beach, I recommend staying in Room 41. There’s a little deck with two rocking chairs right in front of the sheep ranch. The outdoors might smell a little bit (ha!), but it’s not too bothersome and those baa baa black sheep are so adorable.

At first, I thought the sheep noise I heard was from this little kid next door, but no! Those sheep have very low, distinctive baaaaa’s. Seriously, they’re so cute!

Room 41 is also near the tennis courts and where complimentary breakfasts are located every morning. It’s also in walking distance to the restaurant and I highly recommend having a cocktail on the deck right before sunset and then going inside and singing along with the piano player and accompanied singer. Mama Mia here I go again! Ha! If you’d like help planning a relaxing trip to Carmel, Just Ask!

This hotel has a comfortable and cool vibe and I’ve heard that Clint graces the guests with his smile every once in a while. Unfortunately, in this dog friendly town, there are no dogs allowed on this property because guess why? The SHEEP! Baaa!

Go ahead, make your day In Carmel.
