Robin Laub, a Life Stylist

Coat and Jacket Shopping

As summer starts winding down (boohoo!) our closets might need a fall cleaning re-fresh. Since I’m a wardrobe stylist, I have tons of great advice for getting closets ready for fall. Don’t know where or how to start? I’m here for you, so Just Ask! Think of it this way: while spring cleaning is all about clearing out the dreary winter clothes and brightening our closets with sun dresses, linen pants and bathing suit coverups, fall cleaning is about getting your closet ready for colder weather.

Here are my top 5 ideas that will get you into full fall swing:

1) A cropped blazer with gold shiny buttons is always in style.

2) A faux fur leopard print coat. They’re making a come back and look great with jeans and short booties.

3) Puffer jackets in wild, bright colors. The more color the better!

4) Checked coats. Go for a multicolored check, not just the classic Burberry kind. Ha!

5) A classic trench, because why not? They come in just about every color, but I like tan best. These always look good with denim and a pair of white kicks. Super chic.
