Robin Laub, a Life Stylist

Don’t Get Pinched!

Another holiday is upon us! For those who are in the mood to participate in the fun of St. Patty’s Day, all you have to do is just wear a little bit of green!

Believe it or not, blue was the first color associated with Saint Patrick’s Day, but it changed to green in the 17th century and it stuck ever since. From the green Chicago River, green beer at your favorite pub, healthy green milkshakes and fun green clothing—green will really be taking over.

You don’t need to be outfitted like a leprechaun, but a pop of the lucky color can easily get you in the festive spirit whether or not you’re of Irish descent. Plus, all hues of green will work—olive, emerald, chartreuse, lime, etc.

As your life stylist and wardrobe stylist, I have some clothing and accessory ideas for you to wear on March 17th:

Green jeans with a white t-shirt.

A hint of green in a scarf.

Green loafers with a black t-shirt dress.

A plaid green flannel shirt over a slim black cotton skirt.

A fun and fashionable green hat.

A green belt if you’re a Gucci gal or guy.

Green drop earrings.

It’s said that wearing green makes you invisible to leprechauns, so better safe than pinched. ha! And if you’re looking for some fun recipes or event ideas to complement your green wardrobe, Just Ask!

Everyone will be seeing green.
