Today, January 15 is National Hat Day, which is a great excuse to try out the hats in your collection. Or buy a new one!
I love hats and always have. But, depending on the situation, there are some unwritten rules of hat-wearing. Here are some of my tips:
For Golf
I always wear a golf hat. Not a visor but a golf hat. I like to promote companies. So if you’d like me to wear your company hat, send me one. Ha!
For a Cold Day
I tend to wear a knit beanie to cover my ears. I keep one in my car, golf bag and purse for those winter days.
For The Beach
A cool, floppy sunhat always does the trick. Believe it or not, I like buying the ones in airport kiosks while visiting a sunny location. They’re inexpensive and super portable.
For Sports Events
Wear a baseball cap of the team of your choice! I pretty much always wear a Patriots hat and those from San Mateo were okay with it when Tom Brady played for the Patriots — but not so much now. Well, I’m a devout Pats fan, so there’s that! Or I’ll wear some other Boston sports team cap.
If you have a styling question on how to add a hat to an outfit, Just Ask!
I do love hats. They keep my hair from flying all over and the sun out of my eyes. Plus, I just think they’re just plain cute to wear.
