To celebrate this cheesy day, I have a great smelly fromage to pair with wine.
If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend Epoisses (pronounced eh-pwass) cheese. This happens to be a strong smelling cheese, so beware of the “odeur!” ha!
It brings back such fond memories of my Parisian roommate’s family dinners where the host mother would serve this deliciously soft cheese at the end of the meal. Merci Catherine Pellaud’s maman!
I like pairing it with a white burgundy wine such as a Chevalier-Montrachet. Absolutely exquisite! To complete your snack, toast baguette slices drizzled with olive oil and broil for 2 minutes before slathering on this great gooey cheese! Yum!
