Call me traditional, but who doesn’t like receiving a printed holiday card? I don’t know what it is, but there is something very special and intimate about receiving a card, invitation or note hand delivered by the postman or postwoman.
Nowadays with email, Evites and texting, the majority of good ol’ fashioned printed cards and invitations have gone by the wayside.
Believe me, I’m guilty of it too! It’s easy to send an email or text a message, but I think there is something very special and genuine when you receive a written note or holiday card via traditional snail mail instead.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I think a save-the-date via Paperless Post, Evite or whatever online invitation system works for you is great. But for the main event, I still prefer to order printed invitations and mail printed holiday cards.
I may not always write something long and lengthy on a card (since I have so many to send out!) but even a simple “XOXO” shows the recipient that someone was actually sitting down with paper and pen and wrote the written word.
To speed up the process of addressing several envelopes, simply use an Avery address label template, input your holiday mailing addresses in a document and then press print! This way you will always have your mailing addresses handy in one convenient spot.
I have many creative design and messaging ideas. Should you need some help with your upcoming holiday cards, just ask! I also have a great printing company that I can refer you to. J&N Printing…”When Time Matters.”
And for those who would prefer to send cards via email, that’s okay, too! At least you’re thinking of others and that’s what this life is all about. Isn’t it?
Postal stamp tip: Purchase festive or memorable stamps to place on your cards or invitations. Creative stamps are also available on Paperless Post.
