Oooh-la-la! 

Can you feel the love in the air? It’s almost Valentine’s date time and I have the perfect accompaniments to make it extra special! 

Step 1: Find a date. Ha! 

Step 2: Organize a pre-dinner house party 

Step 3: Invite your friends and their dates. Hint in the invite that something super fun is about to transpire.

Step 4: Buy a case of Veuve Rosé

Step 5: Light candles throughout the house. This is the best way to improve that loving vibe.

Step 7: Serve raw oysters and mignonette sauce along with this quick appetizer: 

 

Crostini with Mushrooms

    Serves 4

 

  Ingredients: 

    10 oz. porcini mushrooms (2-3 medium size mushrooms)

    1 garlic clove, minced

    1 oz. virgin olive oil

    4 Tbsp of butter

    1-2 oz. of white wine

    Baguette slices (have the bakery slice a baguette for evenly sized slices)

    Fresh parsley

 

    Instructions: 

    Broil baguette slices with olive oil for 2-3 minutes. 

    Slice mushrooms and sauté them in olive oil, butter and garlic for 5 minutes. 

    Add the wine and cook until the liquid has evaporated. 

    Chop the parsley and add it to the sauce. 

    Place this mushroom mixture on top of the golden brown olive-oiled crostini’s (aka baguette slices) and voila! 

 

Step 8: Head out to dinner in love.
