Spruce Up for The Holidays

Out with Thanksgiving and on to the next holiday! It’s officially time to gather all of your holiday boxes from the attic, basement or garage and start decorating. As your event stylist, I have some quick and easy ideas that will make your home a beauty just in time for friends and family to arrive.

1) Get Lit

There’s no need to light your entire home. You can light up your house by placing outdoor white, bright lights or blue and white on the front exterior of the house. Less is more!

2) Be Welcoming

Get a fun “Ho Ho Ho” or a “Mazel Tov” front door mat. You’ll make guests jolly and joyful before they ring the door bell and while wiping off their shoes.

3) Decorate Your Door

Add a big colorful wreath, either silk (which you can use from year to year!), a fresh spruce or a Star of David at the front door. Hot glue a gold angel, bright red ornaments, some ivy and pine cones for a Christmas style wreath and then simply add a big red and green tartan ribbon with a bow. For the Star of David wreath, add some gold and pearl-like balls to a wrought iron star and wrap small white lights around it. If you need help creating the perfect wreath, Just Ask!

4) Create a Path

Add red flowering plants to your walkway or use some ornamental dreidels to decorate the path to your home. You could even hang some festive stars from the trees or bushes.
