Continuing my quest to play 60 different golf courses, I headed north to Sacramento to check out some places. Winters, California is where we stayed because of a wonderful family wedding we attended. I thought Winters was the walnut capital of the world because of all the walnut trees! Ha! It was absolutely beautiful!
The quaint downtown of Winters has an adorable cafe called The Putah Creek Cafe. The desserts are to die for. Try the oversized baked cookies and the lemon bars. There’s outdoor seating and the entire menu looks delish!
If you’re looking for an event space, take a look at Park Winters. The wedding we attended there was a perfect setting to have the ceremony and reception on the same property. It was stunning.
If you’re looking for golf in the area, there are plenty to choose from. We played at Davis Golf Course ($18 a round - haha!), Teal Bend, and then on our way home, we hit Hiddenbrooke Golf Club in Vallejo. It’s been so much fun trying out all of these new courses!
If you’re not a golfer but would like to experience the area, visit the Shrem Museum of Art. It will not disappoint!
