Ready to plan a solo holistay? As your adventure stylist, I have some helpful hints for doing a trip alone. Alone? Yes! Doesn’t that sound exciting and inviting? You CAN do this. It will be empowering. Trust me! I’m planning my own trip right now.
The Location
I’m choosing San Francisco as it’s in driving distance for me so I won’t need any accommodations. I suggest choosing your city of choice on whether you’d like to drive or take a flight. Isn’t it great only having to consider your own needs? All of the decisions are up to you! If you need any suggestions on where to travel to, Just Ask!
The Activity
Pick at least one activity to do alone. I love to hike, so I’ll be urban hiking. Try it in the city of your choice. Take selfies along the way and post on your favorite social media to share your experience and create memories you can look back on.
The Food
For dinner in San Francisco, I recommend Verjus in the Financial District. It’s a Parisian-style bistro restaurant with two adjacent rooms for events, a bar (I love eating at the bar alone since you never know who you’ll meet!) and a communal table including several solo tables. And, to top it off, there’s a wine shop where the communal tables reside. They play fun, upbeat music and the décor is eclectic. The best part is that they have small, light plate menu items as well as the traditional heavier French-style entrees. So a little nibble here and there is perfect for a solo outing. Don’t forget to order champagne to celebrate yourself! Verjus offers an extensive wine and champagne list. You can’t go wrong with any of the fabulous choices. This is also a great place for lunch or for happy hour after work with or without other people. It’s walk-in only, so you can pop in whenever you’d like. If you’d like help finding a place with a similar vibe in the city of your choice for your solo adventure, Just Ask!
Happy soloing! I want to hear all about your experience!
