Smokin’ Hot!

It’s almost Valentine’s Day, which means it’s time to get out your red, make your dinner reservations, call your florist or make plans to snuggle up at home and make this yummy appetizer. But, beware, it’s so good you might not want to share it with anyone else but yourself. Ha!

Truth be told, I did another, “What’s in Your Fridge” exercise and created this dip. I was given the smoked sturgeon as a gift and I made up the rest by rummaging through my fridge. You never know when a fabulous recipe idea will come together. If you’re looking for more Valentine’s Day recipes or activity ideas, Just Ask! I have plenty. This recipe would be perfect for watching the Super Bowl, too! TB12 rules!

Date alert: Be sure to bring breath mints if you serve this dip. Ha!

Smoked Sturgeon Surprise

Ingredients

2 cups smoked sturgeon

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup chopped scallions

1/4 cup chopped caperberries (remove stems)

1/4 cup chopped dill pickles

1 tbsp hot sauce (I used Fire in a bottle hot sauce)

Juice of a lemon

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Mix the ingredients with a fork so that it’s chunky.

Spoon onto on my famous toasted baguette slices. Wheat Thins always work in a pinch, too!

Serve with a chilled glass of sauvignon blanc. I highly recommend serving the 2015 from Grieve Family Winery.

Happy Love Month and Go Pats!!!
